C++ from Ground Zero

This is my scratchpad. I keep talking about writing a book, throwing fragments together, wrestling with structure, starting over; it's gotten to be a hassle. A wiki seems like it would provide a natural place to put single bits over time as they came up, and derive structure as the list grew, rather than to try to plan such a book out. Maybe putting it out in the open will embarrass me into actually finishing. (Also, Santa Claus may negotiate a desperate final-hour peace treaty following next year's apocalyptic war between Canada and Luxembourg. Who knows.)

Sections

Right now, since I'm still in the content organizing phase, things are rather scattershot. I'm mostly tracking them from CG0:Document Hub. I'm also keeping a sort of a wishlist of CG0 topics at CG0: Topic List. That said, some of the more predictably placed and paced sections are already going up, such as the introduction and platform justification.

The target document is largely organized with categories and subcategories whose structure mimics the table of contents. Over time, it is hoped that accrued content will just sort of amalgamate into something approximating a table of contents, and that once there's a rough structure, a once-through rewrite can bring coherency. We'll see if this works.

Resources

The book also needs a bunch of resources. Given the chapter template's reliance on comics, haiku, quotes and framing artwork, resources should be tracked directly. Thankfully, Wikis make this very easy.
