I believe in the power of the web.
Before you consign me to having stated the obvious, let me explain. I don't think the web has come anywhere near its full potential yet. Yes yes, we've all heard that before, too, and the next thing I'm going to say is nothing new either: the potential of the web is in applications. The thing is, I think we're almost there, without things like Java, Flash, XUL or what have you.
In fact, I think we were there five years ago.
Because this is a broad discussion with a variety of subtopics of which only some will be of interest to most people, I've broken this up into a series of discrete pieces and categorized them. It is important to read one of the overviews before reading the implementation tutorial, in order to understand the logic behind certain design decisions. Most people should probably start with Why 2557 Plus?, but developers may be more comfortable with The Potential of 2557 Plus.
