Fallacy lists are good things to get into the public view. They help provide a better sense of common discussion quality. Newspapers once understood this; no longer. There are many other lists to choose from, if you dislike mine.
Many fallacies go by alternate names, some of them by several. In the interests of keeping this list short, I've used what I believe to be the canonical name of each. If you're looking for a particular fallacy and it's not listed here, you may be looking for it under another valid name; try the synonym list.
